This is kinda like a Rocky type story. Here we are rooting for the good demoracy loving people while listening to the litany of atrocious crime commites by their military.
-relelatively sweet and humorous it is not just some misery porn example
-that said it is a shame it can’t be actually political
-of course the real shame is the unsaid truth that behind all the killing and torture lies an american president
-not original but it gently kills time and is somewhat inspiring
-another thing this film is way more adult than anything that came out of Hollywood last year.
-the really great thing about this film is that is shows a people who still have hope in an actual democracy.
-hopefully this new south america resurgence of authentic democracy can help us realize all that we have lost in america and all the tremendous pain we have inflicted on the poor people throughout the world
